McDonald’s Boosts Angels Camp Economy

Angels Camp, CA — The Angels Camp economy got a boost over the weekend with the opening of a new McDonald’s restaurant at the Frog Jump Plaza.

“We’re excited about being here, and we think the economic impact will be felt by many in the community,” says Dennis Grasspointner, owner/franchisee. “There’s 35-40 people that have been hired to work at the McDonalds, and we expect our payroll to be around $600,000 a year.”

The McDonald’s restaurant should benefit the city of Angels Camp around $70,000 a year in business taxes, licenses and payroll taxes. The restaurant started serving food over the weekend, and a grand opening celebration is scheduled for November 13.
