Earthquake Felt In Mother Lode

Markleeville, CA — An earthquake was felt in portions of the Mother Lode this evening.


The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a 4.3 magnitude tremor occured at 6:02pm with an epicenter 13 miles southeast of Markleeville. It could be felt in areas across the region. It was followed by several aftershocks.
