Funding Helps Those Eligible For Food Stamps

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras Works and Human Services Agency has received a $350,000 grant from the U.S Department of Health and Human Services.

Director Mary Sawicki says it will help reach out to people who are eligible for food stamps, but are currently not receiving help. Sawicki notes that funding will also benefit the Resource Connection Food Bank and ATCAA.

“It will help us go to the next phase of outreach, and help reach others that are eligible,” says Sawicki.

It is one time funding. For more information, residents can contact the Calaveras Works and Human Services Agency at (209)-754-6448.
