Sonora, CA– Traffic is moving freely now on Highway 108 near the former Mervyn’s in Sonora. Firefighters had contained a vegetation fire less than an acre in size that started at approximately 1:15 pm. According to Cal Fire, the fire was started by a vehicle.
In Twain Harte, firefighters also contained two debris burn piles in the Lakewood Drive area reported around 2:00 pm. A resident was burning debris outside of allowed burn times. It is a burn night.
