Air And Ground Crews Continue Working A Forest Fire

Tuolumne County, CA — Forest Fire officials relay that crews were called out last night to Forest Road 3N50,  about 2 miles west of Cedar Ridge in Tuolumne County.

Crew were able to get a handle on the fire quickly, stopping the forward rate of spread at well under an acre, according to Forest officials. They add that crews worked overnight and have a containment line around the fire as it continues to smolder.

Today a 20 person hotshot crew is mopping up and a helicopter can be seen flying over the area and both will be working the fire throughout the day. Forest Fire officials point to this blaze being a hold over lightening strike that kicked up into flames with Friday’s winds. No structures were threatened.
