Columbia, CA — A 1/4 acre fire near Columbia is now contained.
At one point the CHP was forced to close down Parrotts Ferry Road near Columbia Elementary School as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, but the road is now back open. Firefighters will remain on scene for the next few hours for mop up operations. The cause of the fire is unknown.
