Golf ‘n’ Grilles In Twain Harte on Saturday

The Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce will host the first ever “Golf N Grilles” this Saturday in Twain Harte.

Black Oak Casino General Manager Ron Patell, who is also on the Chambers Board of Directors and chairs the Events Committee , was Wednesday’s “Newsmaker of the Day”.

The Chamber has two major outdoor events each year. The first one is the all-day golf tournament each May and the second event is held around this time of year.

For the past few years it was an event called the “Wing Ding”. The Wing Ding has been set aside and the new event is now Golf ‘n’ Grilles which will take place from noon thru 5pm this Saturday at the Twain Harte Golf Club and Eproson Park.

The family event will feature music, cars and a 9-hole golf tournament. The entry fee is $40 per person which includes tee prizes, green fees and a tri-tip lunch.

For those who would rather not golf but enjoy the tri-tip barbecue meal, the fee is only $10.

The car show itself is free (a small entry fee for the car owners) along with the childrens fun area and live music by the Corvairs.

More information can be found by calling the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce at (209) 532-4212 or by logging onto www.tcchamber.com

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am
