Tuolumne County Chase Suspect At-Large

Soulsbyville, CA — The driver of a stolen vehicle led deputies on a high speed chase through Tuolumne County.

Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Sgt. Jeff Wilson says a deputy noticed the stolen Honda Accord driving in the Soulsbyville area at approximately 11pm Thursday. The deputy tried to pull the car over, but the driver sped up and traveled east on Highway 108. At one point the vehicle spun out near Strawberry, but the driver regained control and continued.

Upon leaving Tuolumne County, the Mono County Sheriff’s Office and the CHP took over the pursuit and followed the car to Mammoth Lakes. There the suspect jumped out of the car and fled on foot. The suspect still remains at large. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Sonora.
