Don Pedro Meetings

Modesto, CA– Relicensing the Don Pedro Reservoir on the Tuolumne River will be the subject of three meetings tonight and tomorrow in Modesto.

The meetings will outline what both the Modesto and Turlock irrigation districts face in getting a new license from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and how much water must be released to enhance fish habitat in the lower Tuolumne. The releases could affect recreation on and around the reservoir and the amount of water available to irrigate and generate power.

The first public meeting is tonight in the TID boardroom in Turlock from 7 pm to 9 pm. The other two meetings are Wednesday from 10 am to noon and 7 to 9 pm in the MID’s multipurpose room at the MID building.
