The CHP is reporting a possible traffic fatality of a vehicle passenger on Highway 49 just south of Cosgrove in Calaveras County.
The accident near Deer Creek Road (north of Angels Camp) was first reported at 6:41PM Monday evening.
An air ambulance was dispatched to pick up the unidentified driver, who reportedley had a fractured leg, and was flown to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Both northbound and southbound lanes of Hwy 49 were completely blocked for almost two hours but has since re-opened.
A coroner responded to the scene.
