Update at 12:45pm: Some of the aircraft and other initial responders are being released from the structure fire on Kelley Ranch Road, as crews are making good progress extinguishing the blaze. There are no immediate reports of any injuries. Mop-up will continue throughout the afternoon.
Original story posted at 12:30pm: Sonora, CA — Firefighters are working to extinguish a structure fire in the 18000 block of Kelley Ranch Road in East Sonora.
Heavy smoke was coming from the single story structure when the first responders arrived at around 12:20pm. It is near the intersection of Wards Ferry Road. Firefighters have contained the flames to the structure and it has not spread to nearby vegetation.
