Old Priest Grade Almost Complete

Groveland, CA– The Old Priest Grade Widening and Guardrail Project is almost complete.

Closed since July 12th , Old Priest Grade Road was scheduled to reopen September 14th but now the date has been changed to September 29th. Delays encountered with the guardrail posts and unforeseen field conditions with the existing pavement are the causes for delay.

Paving is underway and is scheduled to be completed early next week. Guardrail installation is scheduled to start after the Labor Day holiday and will take 2 weeks to complete. The construction site is located off Highway 120 between Moccasin and Big Oak Flat.

The Tuolumne County Public Works department suggests using New Priest Grade as an alternate route.
