Stanislaus National Forest Controlled Fire

Pinecrest, CA– The Stanislaus National Forest is managing a lightening caused fire that started August 9th in a remote area approximately 5 miles northwest of Pinecrest.


It is 45 acres in size burning with very low intensity at about 8,000 feet in elevation. The fire poses no threat to structures or communities. Drift smoke may be visible in the Mother Lode in the early morning hours and late evening.
