Groveland Woman Identified

Groveland, CA – The victim in a fatal accident that occurred Saturday has been identified by officials.

The CHP says 59-year-old Twana Williamson was driving along Upper Skyridge Drive near Pine Mountain Lake when she lost control of her Ford Escape and drove down an embankment. The vehicle sideswiped a tree and hit a rock retaining wall. The vehicle was spotted by a passing motorist at around 4pm. Officer Mike Remmel says the accident was in an isolated area, and likely occurred about two and a half hours before the vehicle was located.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing. The Groveland woman was the only person in the car.
