Two Overnight Fires

Jamestown, CA — There was a pair of overnight fires in Tuolumne County.

At 8:17pm a large spot fire started on Highway 108 near the Montezuma Junction. CAL Fire reports that it was caused by an electrical short in power lines.

At 8:34pm a vehicle caught fire on Highway 108 between the Yosemite Junction and O’Byrnes Ferry Road. It was caused by overheated trailer brakes.

 Both fires were quickly contained.
