No Pay Raise For Congress

Washington, DC — Mother Lode Congressional representatives voted in favor of a pay freeze for U.S. House members.

District 3 Representative Dan Lungren and District 19 Representative George Radanovich voted to suspend the automatic pay increase that was set to kick in next year. The measure was approved 402-15.

A similar measure was also approved by the U.S. Senate. House members that are not in leadership currently make $174,000 a year.
