The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Sierra Nevada from Tuesday morning through late Tuesday night.
One to two feet of new snow is expected above 7000 feet.
Snow levels will range from 5000 through 8000 feet.
Scattered showers may continue at times through Saturday.
Wind gusts of forty to sixty mph are expected over the highest elevations.
