Borgeas Receives Committee Assignments

Sacramento, CA — Freshman Republican Mother Lode Senator Andreas Borgeas will serve on five committees during the upcoming legislative session, focusing on issues ranging from Judiciary to Natural Resources.

Notably, he will be the sole Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and serve as the Vice Chair. In addition, he will be on the Natural Resources and Water Committee, Joint Legislative Audit Committee, Insurance Committee and Governmental Organization Committee.

Borgeas says, “These key committees address many of the issues impacting our state today…Serving on these committees will allow me to work collaboratively with members of both houses to ensure we are working in the best interest of all Californians.”

His Senate District 8 covers the Mother Lode region, and stretches from the outskirts of Sacramento to areas of Fresno County.
