Winter Weather Continues For Motherlode

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Motherlode until 8 PM this evening.

Rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain and/or thunderstorms with small hail are all possible this afternoon.

Snowfall may begin at 1500 feet.

Total snow accumulations of one to four inches will be possible above 2000 feet.

The Winter Storm Warning continues to remain in effect for the Sierra Nevada through 4 PM  and that will be downgraded to a Winter Storm Advisory from 4 PM through 8 PM.

The National Weather Service has also issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Tuolumne County until 6 PM tonight.

Runoff from today’s showers will continue to keep the creeks and streams running high.
