CAL Fire Captain Still Recovering

San Jose, CA– A CAL Fire Captain who was injured in a Copperopolis house fire last month is continuing her rehabilitation at a San Jose hospital.

Sue Arrouzet, 45, was injured November 12th after the roof of a home in the Saddle Creek subdivision collapsed while firefighters were putting out the blaze.

Because of her back injury, the 22-year CAL Fire veteran was moved to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where she continues to recover.

According to a CAL Fire news release, officials say “Sue and her family have been sincerely touched with all the outpouring of well wishes not only locally, but from around the world as well.”

Arrouzet, who lives in Tracy, is currently assigned to the Copperopolis CAL Fire Station.
