Bass Announces Re-Election Bid

Sonora, CA — While Dick Pland will not seek re-election to the Board of Supervisors, District One Supervisor Liz Bass says she will run.

Bass tells KVML News that she will seek a third term on the Board. District One includes the greater Sonora area. Bass, a longtime educator, also previously served on the Sonora City Council. Supervisorial candidates can start collecting signatures on December 30, and the election is next June.

The District Four seat is also up for election, and Supervisor John Gray earlier indicated that he plans to seek a second term. The Supervisors are elected for a period of four years.
