Drop In Gas Prices

Sonora, CA — The average price of a gallon of gasoline in California has dropped 25 cents over the past month.

This is according to a new report from AAA that shows that regular unleaded is selling at around $3.59. However, it is still 32 cents higher than California’s average price on this date last year. San Francisco is currently the highest priced metro area, averaging $3.67 a gallon. The myMotherLode.com gas price section shows that regular unleaded is selling in Sonora this morning everywhere from $3.43 to $3.67 a gallon.

AAA says the price decline is attributed to global economic issues, and a recent strengthening of the U.S. dollar relative to foreign currencies.
