The second round of high school football playoff action takes place this evening for the Sonora Wildcats.
Justin Flores, the “voice” of the Wildcats, was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Wildcats are on the road this evening to take on undefeated Escalon.
According to school records, over the past fifty years these two school football teams have never played each other.
Flores and Steve Lee (Sonora High School teacher) will call the game together. This is their tenth year together.
Pre-game coverage will begin at 6:40PM on Star 92.7 FM radio and will also be streamed live on mymotherlode.com The kickoff is scheduled for 7 PM.
The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
