Two Injured In Calaveras Collision

San Andreas, CA – Two women were injured in a head-on collision in Calaveras County.

The CHP reports that 50-year-old Mary Lou Molino of Mountain Ranch was driving her 2006 Nissan Murano on Highway 49 near South Lombardi Road, and for unknown reasons drifted into the opposing traffic lane. Her vehicle slammed into a 2008 Ford Edge driven by 43-year-old Loyd Marie Lousteau of Sacramento.

Molino was flown by helicopter to a Kaiser hospital outside the area to treat serious injuries. Lousteau suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Suttler Amador Hospital.

The accident happened early Wednesday morning.
