Earthquakes Across Region

Chinese Camp, CA — A couple of earthquakes have been reported over the past couple of days.

A small earthquake was reported in Chinese Camp Thursday. The U.S. Geological Survey, which tracks earthquake activity, reports that the 1.5 magnitude quake happened shortly after 8am. The USGS describes it as a “probable quarry explosion.”

This morning a larger quake was reported 11 miles southeast of Yosemite Valley. The 3.2 magnitude quake happened at 4:56am.
