Modesto, CA– The new Yosemite Community College District Chancellor will be making $254,000 a year.
YCCD Spokesperson Nick Stavrianoudakis says the district board unanimously voted to approve Dr. Joan Smith’s salary on September 14th. Her 3-year contract will also include a $14,000 car allowance.
Smith was previously earning $210,000 annually with an $8,400 car allowance and $8,400 housing allowance as Interim Chancellor. Stavrianoudakis says there is not a housing allowance included in the Chancellor position.
Former Columbia College President Dr. Joan Smith was hired for the position February 3rd. She had been serving as Interim Chancellor for the past year.
The Yosemite Community College District (YCCD) includes Modesto Junior College and Columbia College.
