Yosemite Valley, CA– A 48-year-old man from Austria has died after falling from Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.
Assistant Coroner Andrea Stewart from the Mariposa County Coroner’s Office, confirmed that Markus Praxmarer of Innsbruck, Austria died on September 19th.
So far this year, 15 people have died inside Yosemite.
On July 31st, 26-year-old Hayley Laflamme of San Ramon slipped to her death while descending Half Dome in the rain.
