Mariposa County, CA– The Motor Fire in Mariposa County is now 80% contained and estimated to be 5,231 acres.
The Forest Service says crews will hold and improve existing fire lines today and mop up operations will continue.
The fire had been expected to be contained by September 9th. That date has now been moved up to Sunday, September 4th.
The fire has been burning since Thursday.
