Supervisors Update Budget

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors have updated the 2011-12 budget.

The County received new state revenue estimates and made changes to the original $53-million spending plan. Notable changes include restoring funding for a USDA Wildlife Specialist position, allocating an additional $21-thousand to the Youth Centers, spending $1.7-million for a new Juvenile Detention Facility, and creating the Community Resources Agency.

Supervisor Evan Royce was opposed to the latter two items, so he cast a vote in opposition. The final vote was 4-1.
