Firefighters Nearing Containment

La Grange, CA – The vegetation fire along Cooperstown Road has grown to around 50 acres.

It is located in the area of Wilms Road, west of J-59. It is being attacked from the air and ground. CAL Fire reports that no homes or structures are in danger. Spokesperson Lisa Williams says the fire is not quite contained, but officials are “getting a handle on it.”

Some of the fire crews are now returning back to base. The cause is unknown.
