Valley Springs Motorcycle Accident

Valley Springs, CA– A motorcyclist from the Bay area received minor injuries in an accident in Valley Springs.

The CHP reports that on Saturday morning at around 9:45 am, 80-year-old Clements resident Marilla Pontius was driving her 1996 Saturn eastbound on Highway 12 west of Lime Creek Road.

70-year-old Rodger Terry of Bethel Island reportedly made a turn in his 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle from the shoulder of Highway 12 into the path of Pontius. Pontius broadsided Terry who flew off his motorcycle onto the windshield of the Saturn before falling on the ground.

San Andreas CHP Officer Rebecca Myers says Terry was injured but decided to not seek medical treatment.
