Vegetation Fire

Columbia, CA — CAL Fire says that there is a vegetation fire reported in the area of Highway 49 near Rawhide Road.

Air and ground resources are responding, so be prepared for activity in the area. Initial reports are that the fire is around 10 acres. One residence has burned, as well as four to five outbuildings. Some other nearby homes are being evacuated. Traffic is being stopped on Highway 49 as crews arrive. Avoid the area if possible. More information will be passed along when it is available.
