Sonora, CA — A body was found in a vacant field in Sonora.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports that it was discovered by a person on Sunday that was out in the field with a metal detector looking for old coins. The location was south of Highway 108 behind Walmart. It appears that the body had been there for a while, and dental records will be required to make positive identification.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that there is no evidence of foul play at this time.
