Pet Food Drive Is A Success

San Andreas, CA– Thanks to employees at Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital and surrounding communities, the 2nd Annual Pet Food Drive was a huge success.

A total of 663 pounds of pet food and supplies were donated this week to the Calaveras County Resource Connection, Animal Control and the Calaveras Humane Society.

The Pet Food Drive was initiated last year by MTSJH employee Cathy Davis to help the many animals whose owners have been affected by the downtown in the economy. Donations of pet food, cat litter, animal treats, collars, leashes, and cat carriers were dropped off at various locations throughout Calaveras County.

“This project is just one more activity the hospital family can do to improve the health of our community,” said hospital President Feliciano Jiron. “We’re all in this together. And together we will succeed.”
