West Point, CA — Two Calaveras County residents were caught in the act of burglarizing a home.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 1000 block of Hidden Valley Road in West Point, and found 43-year-old Brett Gray and 30-year-old Ruby Jeff inside. The Sheriff’s Department believes that the two had been living in the home for an unknown period of time, as the homeowners have been outside the area. A witness reported observing the pair removing property from the residence.
The two were booked into Calaveras County Jail. Ruby Jeff also had an outstanding warrant for armed robbery.
