Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors will hold a meeting Tuesday to approve the issuing of layoff notices.

CAO Craig Pedro has proposed that 81 positions be eliminated from county government in an effort to close a $5 million General Fund deficit. The Supervisors will vote whether to issue the formal layoff notices on Tuesday, with a final vote to cut the positions is scheduled for June 21st meeting.

Tomorrow’s meeting will begin at 9am in the Board of Supervisors meeting room. To view a list of the positions proposed for elimination click here.
