New Columbia Subdivision Discussed

Columbia, CA– Next week the Columbia Area Planning Commission will consider rezoning a new subdivision on Parrotts Ferry Road.

The applicant, Tewolde B. Berhane’, is requesting to divide 3.9 acres into 14 parcels ranging in size from 7,500 to 10,896 square feet. The Columbia property is located at 22050 Parrotts Ferry Road approximately 200 feet southeast of the intersection of Parrotts Ferry Road and McKellar Drive.

Rezoning of the property would be from multiple-family residential to medium density residential and consistent with Tuolumne County’s general plan. The medium density developments such as duplexes, triplexes, and fourplexes would preserve more open space.

The Columbia Area Planning Commission meets Thursday, June 9th at 7:00 pm. at Columbia State Park.
