Twain Harte, CA – Events are being held across the Mother Lode to honor Veterans and recognize fallen service members.
The eighth annual Memorial Day Flag Ceremony was held at 11:30am at the Twain Harte arch. There was also a short parade consisting of local veterans and the Color Guard. The event drew a strong crowd of all ages.
Earlier in the day there were Memorial Day Observations at both the Columbia Public Cemetery and at Carters Cemetery in Tuolumne. Tonight the Calaveras Community Band will present a concert of patriotic music at Murphys Park. The event is free and begins at 6:30pm.
