Autopsy Conducted On Yosemite Hiker

Yosemite, CA — An autopsy found that hiker Jason Dunbar died of a heart attack and not an accidental fall.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Marjorie Dunbar, the mother of 34-year-old Jason Dunbar, says autopsy results determined the cause of her son’s death to be a blood clot in his coronary artery. Initially, Yosemite officials believed that Dunbar tripped and fell while hiking on the steep Upper Yosemite Fall trail last Friday. Family members say he collapsed and could not be revived. Dunbar was a resident of Berkeley.
