Copperopolis, CA — A Copperopolis man suffered major injuries in a motorcycle accident Sunday night.
The CHP reports that 29-year-old Rob Schumacher was riding eastbound on Copper Cove Drive. He failed to negotiate a curve and drove straight into a dirt embankment and flipped over. Schumacher was ejected and flew approximately 50 ft. in the air before landing on a grassy embankment. He was airlifted to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment.
The CHP reports that Schumacher faces pending charges for driving under the influence. The accident was at 6:50pm.
