Sonora, CA — There is a new Mother Lode Roundup Queen.
Cat Gulizia of Arnold was crowned the 2011 winner at Sunday night’s coronation ceremony at the Sonora Elks Lodge. “It is surreal, and I can’t believe I won,” says Gulizia. “I am so excited and honored.”
Gulizia was the top point getter from the panel of five contestants, including Casie Brantley, Shannon Ferriera, Ashley Taylor and Reiley Wivell. They were graded in categories like horsemanship, ticket sales and the performance at last night’s event.
