Yosemite Celebrates National Park Week

Yosemite Valley, CA– Yosemite National Park is celebrating both National Park Week and Earth Day.

Starting Saturday and continuing through Easter Sunday, many special events and activities are planned. Entrance fees will also be waived for the entire week.

“National Park Week is a real exciting time here,” said Yosemite Park Spokesperson Scott Gediman. “In addition to the beautiful spring weather and roaring waterfalls, we’ve got an Earth Day celebration in the Village, we’ve got film festivals, we’ve got walks, we’ve got talks, we’ve got John Muir evening programs. We’ve got all kinds of great stuff going on and it’s all free of charge.”

Secretary of Interior Ken Salazar has announced that entrance fees will not only be waived at Yosemite National Park, but at all 394 national parks in honor of National Park Week and Earth Day.

Camping fees and all other fees will still be applicable.
