O’Byrnes Ferry Bridge Damage

Copperopolis, CA — The Calaveras County Supervisors have approved a contract for repairs to the O’Byrnes Ferry Bridge.

The bridge was damaged when a truck slammed into the guardrail last August. Decking on the bridge was also damaged. The construction contract was awarded to R.A. Nemetz Construction Company. The County will be reimbursed 100 percent by insurance company Progressive. The contract for $81,000 was approved with a 5-0 vote.
