Twain Harte, CA — Over 60 citations were given out in Twain Harte alone last year for structures that didn’t have proper defensible space.
CAL Fire Information Officer Nancy Longmore is encouraging residents to protect their homes now, before the summer season arrives. Tickets can cost over $450. Longmore says 100 feet of clearance is required around homes and structures for their protection.
CAL Fire is hosting a free Defensible Space Workshop Thursday from 9-11am for defensible space lot cleaners. Space is limited. To RSVP contact Longmore at 209-754-2729. It will be held at the Twain Harte Community Hall on Manzanita Drive.
