Storm Damage Across Region

Sonora, CA — Power outages and heavy storm damage is being reported across the region.


PG&E reports that 9,585 customers are without electricity in Tuolumne County. There are 4,344 without power in the greater Sonora area (including Cedar Ridge and Phoenix Lake), 2,111 without in Twain Harte, 1,220 in Tuolumne, 680 in Mi Wuk, 675 in Long Barn, 230 in Soulsbyville and 130 in Pinecrest.


There are around 6,000 without power in Calaveras County. They are primarily in Arnold, Avery and Dorrington. 300 additional customers are without power in Angels Camp and 150 in West Point.


There is no estimated restoration time. PG&E has called in extra resources from San Diego, Los Angeles, Oregon and Washington.


There are numerous reports of roadway flooding, downed power lines, and trees in the road. Travel with caution if you must be out today.


There have also been reports of trees into homes, notably in the Twain Harte region. A number of homes have also had flood damage.
