Home Damaged By Fire

Standard, CA – A Standard home sustained $150,000 in damage from a Thursday evening fire.


The fire started at around 5pm in the 15100 block of Cavalieri Road. CAL Fire reports that it was started by combustible items that were placed too close to a wood stove. No injuries were reported and the Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced residents.


CAL Fire Units responded from Columbia, Twain Harte, Jamestown and Mono Vista. Also assisting were Columbia College Fire, Sonora City Fire, and Tuolumne County Fire resources from Mono Vista, Long Barn and Chinese Camp. Crews remained on scene until around 9:30pm.
