Murphys, CA — Two Murphys residents were injured in a crash on Highway 4 yesterday morning.
The CHP reports that 23-year-old Kelsey Lundgren was driving eastbound on Highway 4 near Green Meadow Court when her car went off the highway and collided head-on with a large oak tree. Lundgren and passenger, 20-year-old Joshua Hecocks of Murphys, were taken to a Modesto Hospital to treat moderate injuries. The CHP reports that the two were traveling back from the Bay Area and Lundgren had fallen asleep while driving.
The accident was at 5am Sunday.
