Supervisors Request Declaration

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors voted 5-0 to request an Emergency Declaration from the State of California for last month’s winter storms.

Tuolumne County agencies had around $200,000 in unexpected costs related to cleanup. A large percentage involved emergency repairs that T.U.D. was forced to make to a failed ditch near Columbia. If the declaration request is approved by Governor Jerry Brown’s office, Tuolumne County will be eligible to receive state and federal funds to reimburse costs.
