Sonora Arson Fire

Sonora, CA — An arson fire was reported over the weekend in Sonora.


CAL Fire reports that that a vacant apartment sustained $1,000 damage to the structure and contents after an aerosol paint can was left in an oven to ignite. It occurred in the 12000 block of Chukar Circle. The fire was reported at 6:17pm on Saturday. No injuries were reported. The case is under investigation.


CAL Fire units from Mono Village and Jamestown responded, as well as resources from Tuolumne County Fire, Sonora Fire and Columbia College Fire.
