Committee To Hear VC Proposals

Angels Camp, CA — The City of Angels Camp Personnel and Finance Committee is set to hear proposals for the downtown Visitor’s Center.

There are competing plans for the building submitted by both Visitors Bureau and Chamber of Commerce. Those proposals will be laid out for the first time at today’s meeting.

The Visitors Bureau has used the space on Main Street rent free for many years, but the city has decided to start charging a lease fee because of tough budget times. The City Council will eventually make the final decision on whom to lease the space.

There will also be a discussion at today’s meeting about alternative uses for TOT tourism funding. The Personnel and Finance Committee meeting is set for four o’clock this afternoon at the Angels Camp Fire House.
